Club hosts golf day to raise money for Victims of Violence
Ottawa, October 4, 2005 – Cedarhill Golf and Country Club will honour the memory of Jennifer Teague by hosting a golf day on Tuesday, October 18th. All proceeds will be donated to Victims of Violence.
“Jennifer was tragically taken from her family, her friends and our community,” said Bob Williamson, Cedarhill’s General Manager. “With our club being part of the community that she lived in, we wanted to host an event in her honour that would allow people to get together and remember her. We’ll also be donating all the proceeds to the Victims of Violence organization in Jennifer’s name.”
Victims of Violence (www.victimsofviolence.on.ca), is a national, non-profit, non-government funded charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of crimes against children and to educating children on personal safety issues.
